Berlin – In October 2010, the World Travel Award was presented, and as many as three Berlin hotels were honored. For this award, international representatives of the travel and tourism industry rate businesses according to customer satisfaction and quality of service as well as aspects such as innovation, creativity, and business skills.
The Westin Grand Hotel Berlin was named “Germany’s Leading Business Hotel 2010”, prevailing over eleven other candidates. The award paid tribute to the services specially tailored to the needs of business travelers, and the outstanding service of the five-star hotel. As recently as 2008, extensive renovation was undertaken at this hotel, which is located near Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin’s historic Mitte district. The famous freestanding staircase, the atrium with the impressive glass ceiling, and the lavishly redesigned guestrooms and suites now shine in new splendor. www.westingrandberlin.com
