Capacity Hiked From Four To Five Daily Flights
Award-winning Qatar Airways has stepped up its frequency between Abu Dhabi and Doha with the introduction of a fifth daily scheduled flight.
The additional capacity provides the business and leisure passengers from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain greater flexibility for immediate connections in Doha, to Qatar Airways’ extensive network of services covering the Middle East, Europe and Far East.
Abu Dhabi is a key neighbouring market for Qatar Airways with plenty of passengers travelling from the Emirate to Doha to do business in Qatar or to catch onward connections to rest of the world.
The additional Abu Dhabi frequency arrives from Doha at 2155 hrs and departs Abu Dhabi at 2250 hrs to connect to the airline’s global network of services via Doha.
Qatar Airways is one of the world’s fastest growing airlines and recognised among an elite group of only four carriers with a Five Star ranking for service and excellence awarded by Skytrax, the independent aviation industry monitoring agency.
Qatar Airways operates a modern fleet of 47 all-Airbus aircraft to 70 destinations from its hub in Doha. Together with its codeshare partners, Qatar Airways serves more than 90 cities worldwide.
The airline’s fleet will more than double in size by 2015 to 110 aircraft. Qatar Airways plans to acquire up to 80 new aircraft in orders worth US$16 billion to meet its expansion targets.
Earlier this month, Skytrax increased Qatar Airways global ranking to sixth best airline in the world in 2006, and named the carrier’s cabin crew as Best in the Middle East for the fourth consecutive year and second best in the world.
During this summer, Qatar Airways will open the world’s only dedicated First and Business Class terminal at Doha International Airport offering its frequent travellers in the premium cabins more comfort prior to catching their flight. The new terminal will have a range of services and facilities from exclusive check-in, duty-free, massage treatment rooms, spa, children’s play area and business centre.
