The prestigious hotel host to important cultural and social events
Roma – L’Albergo della Regina Isabella di Ischia, historic 5 star hotel on the waterfront in the bay of Lacco Ameno, will be hosting important cultural and social events this summer. The island of Ischia is known to be one of the most beautiful of those in the Gulf of Naples.
The Premio Ischia Internazionale di Giornalismo, Ischia’s International Journalism Award, the Global Film & Music Fest and Piano & Jazz will take place in the elegant Mediterranean setting of l’Albergo della Regina Isabella di Ischia. The hotel was named after Ferdinando di Borbone’s wife who also gave the thermal baths the same name in the XIX century.
The Premio Ischia Internazionale di Giornalismo will take place from July 3-5. This award has been granted the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy due to its honorable history. The Albergo della Regina Isabella, core of cultural events on the island, gives excellent hospitality to the elite of journalism, finance and politics who always take part in the event. Emilio Carelli, Giampaolo Pansa and Enrico Varriale are some of the names of those who will take part in the 2010 award program.
The Global Film & Music Fest, scheduled from July 11-18 has a rich calendar of films which will be shown every night on the large panoramic screen on the waterfront of l’Albergo della Regina Isabella. Well-known guests from last programs include Matt Dillon, Francis Ford Coppola, Raoul Bova, Mariagrazia Cucinotta, Joseph Fiennes and Alan Parker.
Piano & Jazz will take place from August 28-30. Each year this event features the best in jazz and offers a wide array of performances and a stimulating blend of music. This year the Albergo della Regina Isabella will hold the opening and closing event on each night. Chick Corea will open the program on the 26th and 27th on the piano and will later appear in a duet with Stefano Bollani and then as part of a trio with Roy Haynes and Miroslav Vitous.
