„Room and Board“ deal a great ride for surfing newbies
Outrigger Waikiki package lets guests ride high-tech boards at famed Waikiki Beach
Waikiki, Hawaii – If you want to learn how to surf, there’s no better place to do just that than famed Waikiki Beach, where surf legend Duke Kahanamoku — and legions of other Waikiki beach boys — once hung out.
Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach has introduced a new „Room and Board“ package specially designed for the „wanna-learn-to-surf“ set, thanks to a lifelong
love of the waves by another Waikiki beach boy of sorts: Dr. Chuck Kelley, whose family founded Outrigger Hotels & Resorts in Waikiki in 1947.
„I have been surfing my whole life, ever since my father taught me as a little kid,“ Kelley said. „I grew up surfing in Waikiki, and in the hotel business. We have great surfboard racks at the Outrigger Waikiki and I love sharing the hotel, surfboards, racks and my favorite surf spot — Waikiki Beach — with our guests.“
[GADS_NEWS]In addition to four nights accommodations, Outrigger Waikiki’s „Room and Board“ package includes four hours of surf lessons, eight hours of board rental, and a complimentary CD of digital images taken during one of the lessons. The surf lessons and board rentals can also be shared among two, three or four people, making it a flexible option for families or couples.
All of the rental surfboards in this program were designed by legendary Surftech shaper, Donald Takayama. Renowned for their technology and
exceptional designs, Surftech has produced boards used by many of the top surfers in the world including Shane Dorian, Pancho Sullivan, Matt Rockhold,
Tom Carroll, Myles Padaca and Jason „Ratboy“ Collins, among others.
Prices for Outrigger Waikiki’s „Room and Board“ 5 day/4 night package range from $1,070 for a City View room to $4,126 for a deluxe one bedroom
oceanfront suite. Prices are based upon single or double occupancy, and are subject to availability, applicable taxes and change without notice; some
restrictions may apply. With Outrigger’s Family Plan, children 17 years and younger stay free when sharing with their parents in existing beds. The package is valid through December 21, 2007.
The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach is a deluxe and gracious Hawaiian hotel located directly on the sands of world-famous Waikiki Beach in the heart of
exciting Waikiki. The 525-room property features three restaurants including the famed Duke’s Canoe Club, Chuck’s Steakhouse and Hula Grill Waikiki; the
popular Society of Seven cabaret show, shops, meeting rooms, self-service business center and exceptional displays of Hawaiian artifacts and artwork
throughout the property. All guests are welcome to enjoy such on-property amenities as free high-speed Internet access, free long-distance domestic telephone calls, baggage services (fees apply), and Hawaiian Airlines check-in kiosk.
