Restaurant is already #3 in sales within the company
WAIKIKI, OAHU, HAWAII – IHOP, America’s favorite family restaurant, has opened its newest location in Waikiki at the OHANA Waikiki Malia Hotel (2211 Kuhio Avenue). Since opening on June 19, 2006, the restaurant has already jumped to #3 in sales within the California-based IHOP Corp., which operates
over 1,200 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.
Best known for pancakes, omelettes and other traditional breakfast
favorites, IHOP also features a complete lunch and dinner menu offering a large selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, steaks and chicken, for great tasting, reasonably priced food for any taste, any time of the day.
„IHOP is proud to be part of the Waikiki community,“ said Tom Coelho, the company’s Western Region Director. „We’re excited about the recent growth in Honolulu, and we’re confident that the restaurant will be a positive contribution to the community.“
Franchise owners Vince and Sarah Espino also are excited with the
opportunity of bringing such a well-known brand to Waikiki and being a contributing member of the community. „We have about 85 staff members right now and almost all of us live within the area, so we really feel that the residents and tourists of Waikiki are our neighbors. We’re going to do everything we can to make sure that every one of our guests leaves happy.“
„We are delighted to have such a well-known and popular eatery at the OHANA Waikiki Malia,“ said Chuck Shishido, vice president of operations for OHANA Hotels & Resorts. „Although open for just a short while, guests have already commented on how pleased they are to have an IHOP available to them at the hotel. Its casual setting, family friendly atmosphere and home cooked meals
make it a good fit for the OHANA Waikiki Malia.“
The IHOP restaurant is open from 6 AM to 10 PM, Mondays through Thursdays and 6 AM to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The OHANA Waikiki Malia is an ideal choice for family or friends traveling together to Waikiki. There are one-bedroom suites with kitchenettes available for up to four persons sharing, and two thirds of the hotel’s 327 guest rooms offer two double beds, with 48 sets of connecting rooms offering privacy and ample space in adjoining accommodations. In addition to the newly opened IHOP restaurant, hotel amenities include a rooftop tennis court, an activities desk where travelers can book any number of sightseeing tours or purchase tickets to the island’s many visitor attractions and a
coin operated laundry. The hotel enjoys a central Waikiki location on Kuhio Avenue between Lewers Street and Royal Hawaiian Avenue and is just a 15-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. Its location also offers easy access to city bus and trolley routes that provide inexpensive transportation to attractions around the city of Honolulu. All of this combines to make the OHANA Waikiki Malia a smart choice when visiting Waikiki.
