Meliá Hotels International will decorate one of the rooms of its hotels with a mural illustrating the wishes of its Facebook fans. The „Social Suite“ will be the result of a new marketing campaign the Company has created to send a message to customers and fans that “Everything is Possible”.

Palma de Mallorca – Over the next 11 days, the Facebook profiles of the seven company hotel brands will encourage fans to share their wishes with the community. Of all the dreams received, seven winners will be chosen – one for each brand – and will be rewarded with a free stay in a hotel of each of the brands: Gran Meliá, Meliá, ME, Innside, Paradisus, Sol and TRYP. The seven winning wishes will also serve as inspiration for the „Dream Room“. A professional illustrator will transform the walls of one of the suites in one of the Company’s hotels, creating a mural of the dreams and desires of all the participants in the campaign.

In addition, all of other participants in the campaign will receive a 20% discount on www.melia.com and holders of the mas rewards loyalty card will get 500 extra bonus points.

In the past year Meliá Hotels International has created a specific department to develop and implement its social networks strategy and has significantly enhanced its presence and activity on sites such as Facebook or YouTube with innovative proposals to extend brand recognition. The „Social Suite“ is the first action that incorporates all of the Company brands since the change in corporate name (from Sol Meliá to Meliá Hotels International), and is inspired by the motto „Everything is Possible“ and which reflects the objectives of the hotel company over the coming years.
