In response to decreasing fuel prices, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will reduce its fuel surcharge by EUR 5 per stretch on all intercontinental flights and by EUR 1 per stretch on all intra-European flights.
AMSTELVEEN – This reduction is in addition to the reduction of September 28 and will apply to tickets issued as of October 12, 2006.
In so doing, KLM is upholding its policy of adjusting the fuel surcharge if the oil (barrel) price rises above or drops below a certain level for more than 30 consecutive days. This also ties in with KLM’s marketing proposition of being a reliable airline.
