Madrid – In July, Iberia will fly to the Croatian capital Zagreb, operating return flights on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer: It expects to carry some 5,000 passengers on the route.
Iberia will also offer flights between Madrid and the Croatian port city Dubrovnik, as it did for the first time last summer. From June through September, it carried nearly 13,000 passengers on the route.
The Zagreb flight, which will operate from Iberia’s hub in T4 of the Madrid-Barajas airport will extend options for visitors to Croatia, who may now begin their tour in either of the country’s two largest cities.
The summer flights to Zagreb will start on July 4th and end on September 20th .
The flights to Dubrovnik are programmed from June 16th to September 29th, on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
On both routes Iberia will fly Airbus A320s equipped with Business Class.
Iberia is the only airline with direct flights from Madrid to these destinations. The flights are scheduled to facilitate connections with Iberia to the rest of Spain, Europe, and the Americas.
Fashionable Croatia
In recent years European tourists have flocked to Croatia, attracted by its natural beauty and monumental heritage, especially in the walled southern seaport of Dubrovnik.
The capital, Zagreb, has its own unique Baroque charm, as well as a thriving business district, a major university, and a rich and varied offer of art, culture, and entertainment.
Favourite spots to visit in Croatia include the famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, the ancient maritime centre of Split on the Dalmatian coast, and the historic city of Zadar.
