As of March 1st, Iberia will operate daily non-stop Madrid – Johannesburg flights, adding Tuesday and Thursday flights to its existing ones.
Two additional direct return flights per week raises the total to seven
All the flights leave Madrid at 00:35 h. and arrive at the largest South African city at 11:35 h. The return flights from Johannesburg take off at 21:45 and reach Madrid – Barajas airport at 06:50 h. the following morning.
Iberia normally uses Airbus A-340s on this route, aircraft that incorporate the latest technological advances and are quieter, as well as more fuel-efficient than their predecessors.
The new frequencies also benefit travellers making connecting flights in Johannesburg to Cape Town, Durban, or Port Elizabeth offered under code 96 share agreements with other airlines.
