The Latvian airline airBaltic is prepared to offer cheap prices for passengers who become stranded at airports due to the announced strike of Finnair staff. Prices for one-way tickets will start at EUR 43.
Riga – Tero Taskila, chief commercial officer of airBaltic: “airBaltic has the most destinations in Finland of any international carrier, and it is only natural for us to monitor closely the demand for our six destinations in Finland and the 60 global destinations that might be affected by the Finnair strike. airBaltic has made available more seats at low prices to and from Finland so that people and businesses are not affected by interruptions in airline services.”
In Finland, airBaltic serves destinations including Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Oulu, Kuopio and Lappeenranta, and it offers convenient connections via Riga to destinations in Western Europe, the Mediterranean region, Scandinavia, the Baltic States, and the CIS. Also this year, airBaltic has operated domestic flights between Tampere and Kuopio and between Turku and Oulu.
