November witnessed Etihad’s participation at the World Travel Market, one of the largest travel exhibitions in the world.
To mark its sponsorships of the Ferrari F1 team and the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which comes to the UAE capital next year, the airline displayed a full-size replica of a Formula 1 racing car on stand throughout the four-day exhibition.
The Etihad stand hosted star players from Chelsea Football Club and Harlequins Rugby Club who celebrated Etihad’s ongoing sponsorship of the clubs and were available for autographs and photographs.
Dannii Minogue, X Factor judge and pop star, also visited the Etihad Airways stand at WTM, to celebrate the airline’s forthcoming launch of the new route to her home town of Melbourne. The service commences in March 2009.
