Copa Holdings Announces 8.0% Traffic Growth for July 2009

For the month of July 2009, Copa Holdings‘ system-wide passenger traffic (RPM) increased 8.0% while capacity (ASM) increased 14.7%. System load factor for July 2009 was 76.2%, a 4.7 percentage point decrease when compared to July 2008.

Panama City – Copa Holdings, S.A., and its Copa Airlines and Aero Republica operating subsidiaries, today released preliminary passenger traffic statistics for July 2009.

Copa Airlines passenger traffic (RPM) for July 2009 increased 5.9%, while capacity (ASM) increased 15.4%. This resulted in a load factor of 77.7%, a 6.9 percentage point decrease when compared to July 2008.

Aero Republica passenger traffic (RPM) for June 2009 increased 21.2%, while capacity (ASM) increased 11.6%. Load factor for the month was 68.9%, a 5.4 percentage point increase when compared to June 2008.
