Iberia passengers can choose seats and obtain boarding cards for Amsterdam-Madrid flights.

Iberia is installing auto check-in machines at the kiosks it shares at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Iberia passengers can use the machines to obtain their boarding cards and to select their seats if they have not already done so. In most cases, they can also obtain boarding cards for the return flight if it is on the same day or the following one. Passengers using the machines can choose a language among Spanish, Dutch, English, French, and German.

This service offers yet another choice for passengers, who may also obtain their boarding cards online from www.Iberia.com from 24 hours before their flight up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. Passengers using this online option can proceed directly to the departure gates at Schiphol without stopping at the check-in counters.

The auto check-in machines may be used by passengers with conventional paper tickets and those with paperless e-tickets, as long as they have no luggage to check in and are not required to show their passports for identity checks or other security and immigration control procedures.

The auto check-in service is available in the kiosks that Iberia owns or shares with other airlines at the airports of Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Santiago de Compostela, Valencia, La Coruña, Vigo, Majorca, Alicante, Seville, Bilbao, London and Paris, as well as several Madrid hotels.

Iberia is Spain’s leading airline and also leader on routes linking Europe with Latin America. It posted 2005 sales of more than 5,6 billion euros, and net earnings of 396 million euros. It is also distinguished by its commitment to socially and environmentally responsible conduct. Along with its franchise partner Iberia Regional, Iberia operates some 1,000 flights each day to about 100 different destinations. Last year Iberia carried a total of 32.4 million passengers. It is a charter member of the oneworld airline alliance, along with Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, LAN Chile, and Qantas.
