With auto check-in, passengers can obtain their boarding cards and select their seats without queuing at check-in counters.
Athens, Brussels, Copenhagen, Munich, Rome and Venice are the latest airports where Iberia passengers can use auto check-in services. This year some 18% of Iberia passengers have used auto check-in machines or online auto check-in.
Iberia auto check-in service is now available at the international airports of Athens, Brussels, Copenhagen, Munich, Rome and Venice, as well as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris, for a total of ten. The service is also available for Iberia passengers at 15 Spanish airports and two hotels –the Ercilla in Bilbao and the Wellington in Madrid.
Using the auto check-in machines Iberia customers can select their seats and obtain their boarding cards, sparing them the long queues at check-in counters during peak times. In most cases, passengers can use the machines to obtain boarding cards for their return flights well, if they are on the same day or the following one.
[GADS_NEWS]In 2006 to date, 18% of Iberia passengers have used either the auto check-in machines at airport or the www.Iberia.comonline check-in service, with which the customer can print the boarding card at work or at home. Each day nearly 11,000 Iberia passengers use this online check-in service.
The auto check-in services can be used for flight to destinations not requiring passport verifications or other security or immigration requirements.
