Iberia marks first anniversary of Prague, Warsaw flights



This week is the first anniversary of Iberia’s first flight from Madrid to Warsaw and to Prague.

In this period the Spanish airline has carried more than 54,000 passengers on the Madrid-Warsaw route, with a cabin occupancy rate of 78.16%. In addition to Madrid, the favourite destinations of incoming passengers from Poland are Seville, Malaga, Tenerife, Valencia, Gran Canaria, Majorca, and Alicante. The most popular international Iberia destinations are Lisbon, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City.

Iberia operates four weekly return flights between Madrid and Warsaw, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. They take off from Madrid-Barajas airport at 10:25 h. and land in Warsaw at 13:50 h. The return flight takes off at 14:40 h. and lands in Madrid at 18:10 h.

On the Madrid-Prague route, Iberia carried more than 60,000 passengers in the first year, with a cabin occupancy rate of 73%. Passengers from the Czech Republic are most likely to fly on with Iberia to Malaga, Seville, Alicante, Valencia, Bilbao, Jerez de la Frontera, La Coruña, Gran Canaria, and Lisbon.

Iberia operates five weekly return flights to Prague, leaving Madrid on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 10:30 h and reaching Ruzyne Airport at 13:05 h. The Monday flight takes of from Madrid at 11:00 h. and lands in Prague at 13:35 h., while the Sunday flight takes off at 16:05 h. and reaches the Czech capital at 18:40 h.

The return flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays take of in Prague at 13:55 h., landing in Madrid at 16:45 h. On Mondays, the flight leaves Prague at 14:25 h. and reaches Madrid at 17:15 h. On Sunday, the flight takes off at 19:30 h. and lands in the Spanish capital at 22:20 h.
