Public relations campaign aims to attract 400 thousand Brazilian tourist overnights



The promotional campaign „Lisboa Convida“, launched by Lisboa Tourism Association, has just been presented in the cities of São Paulo, Campinas and Rio de Janeiro.

This campaign has attracted a great deal of interest, with the presence of many public figures at the launch events. It is a public relations promotion designed to attract 400 thousand Brazilian overnights in Lisboa this year. Lisboa’s attractions as a modern and cosmopolitan European city – often still unknown by Brazilians – are some of the main selling points of the campaign, which will also be promoted in Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Recife. In addition, there will also be an Internet campaign until the end of February, with banners in different formats, on the websites of Veja magazine, Grupo UOL, Grupo Viagem, Viaje Aqui and Folha Online. There is also an ongoing search marketing campaign in the most popular search engines used by Brazilians, with a list of key words that links to the ATL site (visitlisboa.com). The first promotional campaign by Lisboa Tourism in Brazil with the support of TAP airlines and Portugal Tourism began in November with advertising in the Tourism and Travel websites. Just in the first month this campaign registered more than five million hits and around five thousand visits to visitlisboa.com.
