Hotel Britania, part of the Heritage Hotels group has just been voted as the Best Designer/Boutique Hotel in Europe by the travel site Trivago.com.
„This award highlights the focus of the Portuguese group on the quality service of its hotels, which aim to provide an increasingly personal and intimate alternative to the big luxury hotel chains“, according to a press release by the hotel.
Trivago is a travel website with a database of more than 300 thousand hotels. At trivago.com you can consult tips and critiques by direct users of the site and by the five biggest hotel websites in the world. Hotel Britania is located on Travessa do Salitre, in Lisboa, in a building from the 1940s, by architect Cassiano Branco. It was recently fully renovated to its original Arte Déco style, and features 33 rooms, bar, library and free Internet access.
