LADY LUCK SHINES ON MELBOURNE LASS
WILL EMMA TAKE ON THE SPACE CHALLENGE…?
Twenty-seven year old publicist Emma Morris from Melbourne squealed with delight when advised she had become Velocity’s newest Point multi-millionaire, winning 25-million Velocity Points which she has the opportunity to use to fly to space with Virgin Galactic.
Sir Richard Branson called direct from the Caribbean with the exciting ‘out of this world’ news to personally congratulate Emma on her windfall. Audio of the call is available at http://www.25millionpoints.com.au/.
The biggest challenge for Emma now is to decide which one of four amazing prize packages she’ll ‘purchase’ with her 25 million Velocity Points
– a trip to space with Virgin Galactic and two return flights to Los Angeles with V Australia or
– two Alfa Romeo Spider sports cars plus $5000 petrol vouchers and $10,000 cash or
– the ultimate shopping spree valued at $170,000 or
– a luxury holiday package in Blue Holiday vouchers valued at $100,000 plus $50,000 cash
Emma said, “I have never won something of this magnitude before and I cannot comprehend that it’s happening.”
Not withstanding peer pressure from her friends who have already set up a dedicated “Will Emma Go to Space?” global Facebook page, Emma has 30 days to decide if she’ll go to ‘infinity and beyond’ and will announce her decision mid-September.
In reply to Sir Richard asking if she’d ‘fancy going to space’, Emma said, “No one’s ever asked me that before….quite possibly. I can’t quite get my head around it. It’s completely surreal!”
If she chooses the Virgin Galactic prize Emma will be the first Victorian woman ever to venture into space, joining 16 other Aussies, including Virgin Blue Chief Executive Brett Godfrey, who are also planning to go to space with Galactic.
Emma was randomly selected from billions of entries received during the promotion after earning Points through purchases with Virgin Blue and Virgin Mobile.
